Electric Adds Former Twitter and ProductPlan Executives to its Leadership Team
Experienced product and revenue leaders join the IT software provider to accelerate product development and open new go-to-market opportunities.

New York, NY, March 7, 2023 — Electric, the leader in IT Management software for small businesses, today announced the addition of two accomplished leaders to its senior leadership lineup, Joe Fahrner and Annie Dunham. Fahrner will serve as Chief Revenue Officer (CRO), leading sales, marketing, revenue operations, and customer experience, aligning teams to capture new go-to-market opportunities. Dunham is appointed Vice President of Product, where she will lead the product and design teams revamping Electric’s software. Collectively, the two have amassed nearly half a century of industry experience and are joining Electric as it enters a new chapter in its growth.

“The appointment of Joe Fahrner as Chief Revenue Officer represents the fact that revenue is an outcome of a successful customer experience – from the moment a customer encounters Electric through many years experiencing value through our products,” stated Ryan Denehy, Founder & CEO of Electric. “As we mature as a company, aligning our revenue organization under one senior leader further empowers these teams to operate on behalf of the customer at all times, regardless of their function.”

Joe Fahrner joins Electric after serving as Vice President of Global Small Business at Twitter, where he spent ten years scaling Twitter’s SMB arm to a billion-dollar run rate. Serving over 350,000 customers, he oversaw engineering, data science, marketing, and sales teams. In 2009, he co-founded InboundScore, a venture-backed demand gen start-up, and held senior leadership and General Manager roles at various early-stage companies that were acquired by brands such as Experian and BankRate.

“Any business with a laptop and an email inbox has IT problems, but most don’t have the time or expertise to address them adequately,” said Fahrner. “There are millions of SMBs without a dedicated IT team that Electric can empower with its technology and managed services. I’m energized by the tremendous opportunity to change how small businesses tackle IT management and cybersecurity challenges.”

Annie Dunham joins Electric from ProductPlan, where she spent five of her 20-plus years of product management experience. Before ProductPlan, she spent nearly a decade working with IT infrastructure at Blue Casa Communications and LogicMonitor. She became intimately familiar with the needs of an IT-centric customer base and successfully delivered products that promoted business growth. As the VP of Product at Electric, her priority will be leveraging her experience and substantial customer insights to develop new software products that automate and simplify previously complex IT tasks for its daily users.

“It is a pleasure to return to the IT industry and join the Electric team,” said Dunham. “Electric is in a strong position to reimagine what IT management means on behalf of our 55,000 end users. Finding an ideal mix of historical growth, customer engagement, market opportunity, and strong leadership in one company is rare. Electric has all of the ingredients to make its mark on this industry.”

“Through our most recent funding round in 2021, Electric’s growth came from a very focused set of products and services that we operated on behalf of our customers,” adds Denehy. “Under Annie’s leadership, we’re embarking on the next chapter of the Electric strategy, where we aggressively invest in the evolution of a full platform where small businesses can manage their own IT.”
